Moorland Pottery.

Established in 1986. Acquiring the Chelsea Works in Burslem. One of the six towns of the Potteries. A Victorian pottery. Still having a “bottle kiln” in the court yard.

Producing pottery using traditional production methods using modern technology.

Initially they produced decorative art pottery. However due to the very high production costs of this type of pottery they needed to diversify into pottery that was not so expensive to produce.

Consequently their early pottery is now only available on the secondary market, Frequently achieving premium prices.

Now well known for their “Stokie Mugs”. Mugs designed with local dialect sayings from the Potteries. Which they have now expanded into other areas and regions of the UK. Designs with humorous¬† and local sayings.
