Hand cast and hand painted pottery. Embellishment completed using “real” platinum glaze paint.

Produced in 1999 in a Limited Edition of 99. This one is numbered 59/99 on the base.

A rare piece of modern art pottery produced in a design that was discontinued due to the high cost of production.

Moorland Pottery ChromAzone Design 17cm Vase.

The Moorland Pottery ChromAzone Design 17cm Vase. Hand cast and hand decorated vase. Produced in 1999 by Moorland Pottery at their factory based in Burslem Stoke on Trent.

Silver embellishment done by using “real” platinum glaze paint.

The 17cm round vase was produced in a Limited Edition of only 99. This vase is numbered 59/99 on the base.

Due to the very high cost of production the ChromAzone design was discontinued. In fact Moorland Pottery management gradually changed the type of products they were producing. And now concentrate on their Moorland Pottery Mugs.

Consequently Moorland Pottery vases are very rare, and not very often seen on the secondary market.

Because of their rarity Moorland Pottery vases are much sort after by collectors of modern art pottery. Produced in Stoke on Trent using traditional production methods. And they make excellent gift ideas for that “special” birthday or anniversary gift.

Moorland Pottery.

Established in 1986. Acquiring the Chelsea Works in Burslem. One of the six towns of the Potteries. A Victorian pottery. Still having a “bottle kiln” in the court yard.

Producing pottery using traditional production methods using modern technology.

Well renowned for their “Stokie Mugs”. Mugs designed with local dialect sayings from the Potteries. Which they have now expanded into other areas and regions of the UK. Designs with humorous  and local sayings.

However prior to producing their well known mugs. They produced traditional pottery. Such as vases and teapots. Occasionally appearing on the secondary market. And achieving premium prices.
