Given the title of the design. This teapot was almost certainly references the 1959 plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens. and The Bopper – the event later called “The Day the Music Died.

Limited Edition of ONLY 60 – This one is numbered 30/60 on the base.

Condition – This teapot is pre=owned, in very good unused condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.

A pottery novelty teapot in a design called “The Day The Music Died”. Hand Crafted, hand painted using traditional production skills. Produced in Stoke in Trent by Totally Teapots in the late 1990’s. Well known for their pop-culture teapots.

Totally Teapots.

Totally Teapots was a small independent pottery based in Stoke on Trent. Which was active in the late 1900s and early 2000s. Producing satirical, pop-culture, and sculptural teapots in very small batches.
