A Moorland Pottery Wagon Hand Crafted Collectable Teapot. A rare, handcrafted and hand painted collectable teapot designed by Roy Simpson. Produced by Moorland Pottery in 2001. Shaped as a stylised Wild West wagon. This teapot captures Simpson’s signature blend of humour, narrative, humour, narrative, and sculptural detail.
Created as a first colourway trial, it represents one of the more unusual and collectable examples from Moorland Pottery early 2000’s output. A distinctive piece of Stoke on Trent ceramic history.

Roy Simpson was an active ceramic designer during the 1990’s and early 2000,s. Contributing to the thriving novelty-teapot of the era. His work is characterised by whimsical narrative-driven forms – circus performers, fishermen, cowboys, animals and characterscenes – often sculpted with humour and personality.
