Moorcroft Pottery. Hand crafted, hand painted art pottery. Produced in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

Probably one of the best known of the Staffordshire potters.

Whilst there are many of William Moorcroft’s design from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. These were produced working for James Macintyre & Co.

It was not until 1913 that he left Macintyre’s to set up his own pottery in a custom built factory. Production continues to made in the same factory. With the bottle kiln still visible in the local skyline. Which is now part of the Moorcroft museum.

Well known for their colourful and delicate interpretations of natural forms and landscapes. A theme continued by their team of talented ceramic artists in modern day designs.

Importantly Moorcroft Pottery continues to be produced totally in the UK.

Stoke Art Pottery are specialists in modern day and vintage Limited Editions of Moorcroft. Acquired from collectors and the secondary market.

As well as pottery from Cobridge Stoneware and Black Ryden. Produced between 1998 and 2005. These being subsidiaries within the Moorcroft group of companies.
