We also have designs from Emma Bailey. Who has more than thirty years experience working in the local pottery industry. Sixteen of those years were working on the Artisan Pottery for the famous Wedgwood factory.

.And then we have designs from the freehand ceramic artists. Peter and Marie Graves. They have recently moved to Cumbria from Stoke on Trent. Where they continue to work in their studio based in their new home.

Peter and Marie began painting on fine bone china at Coalport China Ltd, based in Longton Stoke on Trent. Eventually painting the prestige pieces of pottery produced Coalport China. Which were sold all around the world. They have worked for Moorcroft. And they are well known for their designs for Carlton Ware. Most recently, in addition to producing their own “one off” design pottery vases. They have designed and produced, mainly “one off” designs for Elliot Hall Enamels.

These are just three of the several designers and potters that are represented by Stoke Art Pottery.

Each of them using their own specialised talent and techniques. Free hand painted or the use of reactive glazes. Which achieve their unique and outstanding designs.
