The design illustrates the bottle kilns of a typical factory, Radford Pottery. Which was one of the many potteries based in Stoke on Trent during the Nineteenth and Twentieth century.

Burslem Pottery
Burslem Pottery is a small, independent pottery manufacturer based in Stoke on Trent. Established in 2005 after the owner, Tracy Bentley, acquired the moulds and design rights of Cobridge Stoneware. Which had recently been closed down by Moorcroft Pottery.
Tracy had been a ceramic artist at Cobridge Stoneware,
Burslem Pottery’s work is characterised by:
- High fired stoneware (durable, sculptural, richly glazed).

- Strong influence Martin Brothers grotesques, in their design of their grotesque birds.
