16cm Hand Decorated Vase Poppy Design

The vase is made by Burslem Pottery.

In their studio based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

The design is hand drawn onto the vase.

Then etched into the vase.

This technique is called sgrattito.

The vase is then fired before being hand decorated.

No two vases are identical.

Each vase is different and unique.

The design and the hand drawing, with the etching is done by Steven Shaw.

And hand decorated by Tracy Bently.

Both are ex Moorcroft Pottery and Cobridge Stoneware employees.

The height of the vase is 18cm.
